Sac Osage Celebrates 69th Annual Meeting

Sac Osage Electric Cooperative held its 69th Annual Meeting of the members on Tuesday, June 9, 2009. Over 900 members, special guests and friends of the cooperative attended theevent. Entertainment was provided by El Dorado Springs High School “Sound Collage” before the business meeting. The Lions Club cooked the meals, and there were prizes for all ages.

Two director candidates ran unopposed to serve on the Board of Directors of Sac Osage Electric Cooperative, Mrs. Jan Neale, from the rural El Dorado Springs area and Mr. John Griffith, from the rural Stockton area.

Mr. John (Jim) Murray, from the rural Iconium area was running for reelection. He was opposed by Billy Mann of Osceola. Mr. Murray won with 90 votes over 23.

Joe Wilkinson of Associated Electric Cooperative, spoke of the coming challenges of energy generation, and urged members to take advantage of the Take Control and Save program and the Our Energy Our Future programs.
