Sac Osage Annual Meeting

A cooperative annual meeting is one more way members have of controlling their cooperative. Each year elections are held for 3 of the 9 cooperative districts. Members are able to hear from the General Manager and the board regarding the strength and future of the cooperative. The rules and order of the annual meeting are set down in the cooperative bylaws.

The 71st Annual Meeting of the Members was held June 14, 2011 at Sac Osage Electric Cooperative headquarters. Entertainment was provided by the Duke Mason Band and all members and guests were served Lion burgers from the El Dorado Springs Lion's club.  Ray Higgins, Brad Thompson, and Gene Brockus were elected to represent districts 4, 5, and 6 respectively. Duane Highly of Associated Electric Cooperative spoke on the changing energy situation we face and what our electric provider is doing to ensure safe, affordable electricity in the future.
